40 000 zlotys given for the renovation of the church in Kamieniec
The Princes Lubomirski Foundation co-finances the renovation of the baroque church, which is located in Kamieniec near Iława. The Foundation has handed over 40 000 zlotys for this purpose.
The building came into existence in 1716 and at the very beginning it was used by Calvinists. The Roman Catholic Parish dedicated to St. Mary Queen of the World was established here in 1957. The church has two organ fronts, whereas under the sacristy there is a crypt.
This is the second baroque church the renovation of which is co-financed by the Foundation. Jan Lubomirski has also been supporting the renovation of the church in his hometown – Wiśnicz for many years. Both churches have similar structures and constitute valuable monuments of sacred architecture on the Polish land.
